boredom is a terrible thing.

About a year ago I wrote a short story for a local horror anthology.

Yesterday was the book launch.

It's a surreal feeling, seeing my work on the pages.

It's a high I want to keep chasing.

Maybe this is just the beginning.

Dropping in to say a real quick thank you to Malintra-Shadowmoon for featuring my piece and PutYourBraveFaceOn for suggesting it. I haven't been super active here lately, but I very much appreciate it and those who read my work and enjoyed it.

I've only been posting here sporadically and I have a huge backlog of stuff to comment on and respond to, but I hope to get to them eventually so I hope you guys don't mind super late replies

Last semester was pretty rough and I've been too exhausted to draw, but one of my classes was creative writing so I did get to write a bit. Not sure how much writing I'll be doing this semester since I haven't been super productive. Most of my free time has gone into gaming. I recently bought Gotham Knights and I've finished one run with Nightwing. I'm hoping to play through the game with the other characters as well at some point. But I'm in no rush to do that now since I'm no longer worried about spoilers.

I'm also taking Mandarin this semester, and I imagine that'll also take a lot of my focus. I don't expect to be anywhere near fluent in the short amount of time I have to pick up the language, especially with all the other subjects I'm taking. But I hope to not be completely useless at it by next year.

Anyway as of yet I don't have any immediate plans for drawing or writing beyond what I can cobble together in under an hour. My characters have been engaging in chatter at the back of my mind, and I'll probably get back to them ... whenever I get back to them. I don't have much room to pay attention to them for the time being, but I'll have some new material to share eventually. To those of you still here, thank you for your patience. I've been on this site for over a decade, and if someone had told me in 2012 that I'd be getting a DD one day, I would have thought it too good to be true.
